UPDATE: Jónína is a great student. She has not only gotten stronger & slimer, but is quickly picking up on what she is taught. She is getting softer & correcter in basic dressage exercises like leg yield & shoulder-in, her topline is getting stronger & more supple and with better self-carriage her gaits are improving. She is fun, loving & tries hard. Price $9,500 - will increase with training. 

Jónína is a strong mare with lots of tolt & good trot & canter. She has been ridden plenty on the trail & in the arena, where she proves to be quite alright with many things. Occasionally, she will balk at something, but it is usually more about leadership than her being afraid. She is currently in training to get more knowledgeable about combined cues & basic dressage work, which will improve her gaits further & is making her softer & more confident in her abilities. She can work out with a confident novice rider or anyone who is willing to work on improving her further & has the ability to establish a leadership with this attention loving mare.

Fun all-around gelding with nice gaits & lots of trail experience

This flashy gelding with good main gaits & plenty of tolt is a nice mover with a great temperament to boost. Stjarni is a willing worker & forward horse, but always with good speed control. He has been on miles & miles of trails (by himself or with others), is good out in the wilderness, but also doesn’t mind dogs & traffic. This long-legged gelding also enjoys the arena, track work, drill teams & knows his basic dressage. He would make a great partner for a confident novice or intermediate rider, so could be anywhere from a confidence builder to a trusted partner ready to head out. Stjarni loves attention & is friendly, but not pushy. He stands great for the farrier, clips, bathes, loads,... He is 5-gaited with untrained pace.

Midas is an Icelandic in a small, powerful package: He is an excellent candidate for a sports pony. He is a good jumper & has solid, well-trained walk, trot & canter that are a good foundation for anyone looking to do some dressage. He has had extensive basic dressage training for his age. We have put his tolt training aside to work on these stroing points of his, but are now picking it back up. He would be ideal for a smaller intermediate rider who would like to it all.
